Real estate projects

My expertise is the morphogenesis of cities (dynamic analysis of territories). Territories are characterized by a long-term stability that can influence the scope of an investment or the effectiveness of a planning process. Knowing this opens the door to planning scenarios, which can contribute in reducing the uncertainty characterizing the decision taking process.

A few projects

955 Grande Allée Ouest, Québec City | Immeubles Simard

955 Grande Allée

A brief comment made on invitation about a 180 unit 40 M$ project that have met heavy opposition from citizens.

200 Morgan Ave., New York City | Greenpoint Bushwick LLC

200 Morgan Ave New York

Preparation of a derogation request, from 200 000 sq. ft. to 500 000 sq.ft. (10 stories). It was demonstrated, among other things, that the project would have contributed to the economy of the surrounding neighborhoods, while offering a public access to Newtown Creek and a decontaminated site.

900 Boulevard Champlain, Québec City | Claude Fungère architecte

200 Morgan Ave New York

The mandate was to underline the fact that the urban dynamic of the neighborhood could justify a high end appartment project at the foot of Cap Diamond.

Angkor, Cambodia | APSARA et Dr Pierre S. Guertin

Angkor, Cambodia

Conceptualization of a new collectivity:
- local context and land constraints related to the site of the future village
- schematic rendering of different design scenarios

A new arena for Québec City

The two main principles behind this project were to locate the new arena so that access to it would be primarily by public transit while contributing directly to the city's image. Four sites were explored. The site at the foot of Cap Diamant was chosen for two reasons: it would have been a jewel at the foot of the city; the proximity of a railroad line favoured the implantation of a rail shuttle for the transportation of supporters. In collaboration with Claude Fungère architecte.
